The POW Block started off as a test episode recorded in Eric Elzy's bedroom with David Rhinehart and Alex Richmond. The pilot was lost to the void that is various flash drives, external hard drives and upload sites. It transitioned to the UCF student radio and Derek Workman was brought on to add another voice. Lasting only five weeks due to the incompitence of the other radio hosts (don't mess with the equipment means don't mess with the equipment).

During a team meeting at Dairy Queen, it was decided that podcasting was awesome and that it should continue to be done. The POW Block podcast that you know was born and it began recording in the room above David's garage. This wonderful period lasted for three years until fate struck and David and Eric moved away.

Thankfully, due to the wonder of the internet, the podcast refused to die and lived on through Skype. Alex left to pursue his dreams of going to chefy school and cooking the foods for a living. The podcast went through some rough times as various directions for the site and differing schedules threatened to end it.

David, Eric and Derek's tenacity won over and the site continued. Now we have launched a new podcast, TV Book Club, and we have gained several new and amazing staff members. We hope you enjoy our content and continue to follow us.
